Frequently Asked Questions
Why hire a parenting coach? Shouldn’t I be able to do this myself?
Short answer…
Efficiency & support
Long answer...
When it comes to parenting, particularly motherhood there is a lot of expectation that this should come naturally and your instincts should be enough. But when things aren’t going well, this just add a dose of guilt on top of our pile of frustration. Today's parents have access to unlimited information but have less time than ever to sort through it all. And to top it all off schedules are busier and expectations are higher than ever before.
Sometimes we wait for one difficult phase to be over, only to be hit with the new difficult phase. Anyone can use the help of a parent coach. It’s not a sign of being a poor parent. On the contrary, it’s a sign of how committed you are to being a great parent! Investing in the right help now, will continue to pay off for the entirety of your parenting journey.
Working with a parent coach means you can get the relevant information you need directly, get a plan in place and then have the support you need as you make these changes. And of course you will have someone to celebrate your success with you!
How do I know a parenting coach is right for me?
If you are here, chances are something has been bothering you for awhile. Perhaps the things you’ve tried just aren’t working and you’re out of ideas. Or perhaps you don’t have time for all the research. If parenting stress is keeping you up at night or preventing you from enjoying your family, I can help you with that.

You might want to be proactive and reach out as soon as you find yourself getting frustrated. But if you are beginning to dread parts of your day like bedtime, meals or getting ready for daycare and school and aren’t enjoying your child, now is a great time to get in touch!
What is your sleep approach? (Do you use CIO?)
My approach to sleep challenges is based on my certification as a baby-led sleep and well-being specialist and over 200 hours of study on attachment theory with The Neufeld Institute. I will never recommend leaving your child to cry alone or to use techniques like extinction, graduated extinction, timed checks etc.
My approach is not ‘no-cry’ but instead supported tears. Change can often be upsetting for babies and children and tears may be part of the process. You will always be encouraged to comfort your child in whatever way works for your family. My goal is to support parents to make developmentally appropriate changes gradually and respectfully.
Please note, I’m currently only working with children 12 months + in regards to sleep.
